Needle juniper

Needle juniper carries true needle foliage rather than the scale foliage of Chinese juniper, giving it a finer, more delicate texture that some growers prefer for informal and cascade styles. It is naturally more pendulous in habit than upright junipers, and the needles can be sharp enough to make handling worth a glove.
